Lay the completely buttoned jacket flat on a table face up with the collar up (such that the lapels lay over each other as flatly as possible). Use your hands to spread and flatten out excess fabric.
Position the sleeves pointing up so that you can find the absolute corner where the side of the jacket meets the armpits. Begin at the lowermost point of the left armhole, measure across to the same point on the right side.
Lay the completely buttoned jacket flat on a table face up with the collar up and the arms positioned upwards. Use your hands to spread and flatten out excess fabric.
Position the measuring tape horizontally along the top button. Measure straight across from left edge of the jacket waist to the right edge.

Begin with the left outermost edge of the shoulder seam, (where the top of the sleeve meets the shoulder fold) and measure straight across to the right side.

Position the measuring tape horizontally at the 1cm/0.5 in point. Measure straight across from the left side of the trouser to the right.
Lay the completely buttoned & zipped trouser flat on a table facing up and slightly spread the legs to expose the inseams. Use your hands to spread and flatten out any excess fabric.
Begin by measuring from the crotch (where the inseams of each leg meet) downward along the right inseam to the 44cm/17in point.
Position the measuring tape horizontally at the 44cm/17in point. Measure straight across the width of trouser leg, from the left edge to the right.
Lay the completely buttoned & zipped trouser flat on a table facing up and slightly spread the legs to expose the inseams. Use your hands to spread and flatten out any excess fabric.
Begin by measuring from the crotch (where the inseams of each pnt leg meet) downward along the right inseam to the 15cm/6in point.
Position the measuring tape horizontally at the 15cm/6in point. Measure straight across the width of trouser leg, from the left edge to the right.
Lay the completely buttoned & zipped trouser flat on a table facing upwards , use your hands to spread and flatten out any excess fabric.
Measure the width across the hem at the opening of the trouserleg from one side to another.

Begin at the crotch (where the inseams of each pant leg meet) and measure downward along the right inseam to the edge of the hem of the trouser leg.

Begin on the Left at the center of the collar button, to the center of the buttonhole slit. Exclude the stitching past the slit.
Lay the completely buttoned shirt flat on a table face up and position the arms in an upward direction.
Measure from the lowest point of the left armhole to the same point on the right.
Lay the completely buttoned shirt face up on a table and position the arms to their natural downward direction.
Starting from the top of the shoulder fold, measure 48cm/19in down and make note of this point.
Measure the distance between the left and right edges at the 48cm/19in point.
Lay the completely buttoned shirt face up on a table and position the arms to their natural downward direction.
If your shirt has gussets (reinforcing fabric where the side seams end), make sure they lay flat.
Measure from the bottom left edge to the same point on the right.
Lay the completely buttoned shirt face down on a table and turn up the collar.
Measure from the center of the collar base (where the back and collar seams meet) to the edge of the hem.
Lay the completely buttoned shirt face up on a table and position the arms to their natural downward direction.
Straighten the sleeve to its natural position.
Starting where the armhole and shoulder seams meet, measure to the end of the cuff.
